“Check this out guys! HIYAH!” She did a kick in the air. “I’ve been taking karate lessons!”
“Woah! April you look so cool!” Mikey gasped. “Can you show us some moves?”
“Hell yeah, check this out.” She showed off some of the moves she’d learned in class, all while shouting kiais.
“Our April’s becomin’ a real badass martial arts babe,” Casey remarked.
“Those moves are great, if you’re in the baby class,” Raph teased. “Those are nothing compared to real ninjutsu moves.”
April crossed her arms indignantly. “Well I’m sorry there’s no one in New York teaching ninjutsu to teenagers other than a rat in the woods.”
Synopsis
April arrives showing off how she's learning karate so she can help the boys fight, when the boys have the idea to have
Splinter train her in ninjitsu. It takes a bit of convincing but he eventually agrees. April starts her first lesson that evening while the boys take care of her errands.
While out, they catch a glimse of
Foot activity, and see a bunch of dudes in Foot Ninja attire meeting up with
Karai. One of them hands her a scroll, which would inform her about her father,
The Shredder's whereabouts. The boys knew they had to get that scroll so the dove into a fight.
It was the first time fighting the Foot since
Leonardo's, but he was prepared... until it's revealed that some of the 'human' foot ninja were actually
Yokai using
cloaking brooches. Most of the fight would be spent playing gotchya with the scroll, until they firmly got their hand on it and were able to escape with
Donatello's new smoke bombs.
The scroll revealed that the Shredder had managed to get all the way to to a village on the other side of the
Yokai Realm, where the original
Hamato Clan portal is located.
