The Battle of Hepios

The first true battle of the Tirsolar-Rheqo War, the battle of Hepios took place in the farming town of Hepios, the hometown of Rhubarb Hubsher and, more importantly, Kindred Hubsher. The goal of the Rheqan Army was the capture of either Kindred, or her adoptive family members. During the fight, a powerful wizard named Akros Skyles teleported in at the behest of Crossed Bonds and erected a shield. Using this for cover, the members of Crossed Bonds was able to get a majority of the townsfolk to the center of town, and eventually through a magical gate Akros opened. Due to this retreat, the town of Hepios was completely destroyed by Rheqo, but about 300 of the towns population of 500 managed to escape with their lives to the outskirts of Baleseak.
