Golognoth is a continent to the south of
Aldorath, across the
Sea of Sunken Fires. It has an unfortunate reputation, as it is home to two monstrous regions:
Turkhast, the homeland of the
Orcs, and
Kyask, the ravaged birthplace of the
Gnolls. It is also, however, where one finds parts of
Kaoru. the Human-inhabited realm of the
Aeotaen people. The region ranges from sub-tropical at its northern extremes to very cold at its southern end. Most of the inhabited regions are very warm and tropical, and there are many volcanoes. The whole area, in fact, is volcanic, which gives many regions features such as black sand beaches, geysers, mud pools, and a sulfurous reek. It is known that in the far south, the land gives way to sheets of grinding ice, but no one has ever traveled over or around the ice to see what might lie on the other side of it.
