House Valmar
The House of Valmar is a noble house of Summerlund, distantly related to the famous House Tarmoore. After the death of Caudus, the last Tarmoore king, in 709 SKR, the Summerling knight Landyn Kassryx held the crown as Lord Steward for several years. Finally, he willingly yielded the crown to Barthold Valmar in 711 SKR.
Barthold was a king of no great note who ruled from 711 to 727 SKR, when he yielded the crown to his son Osmund Valmar. Osmund was a terrible king, given to over-taxing his people and using the funds to enrich himself or his friends. In 743 SKR, however, the people rose up, rallying around the banner of the popular Califax Padwyn, the young Duke of Ostralm. The Valmar family’s fortunes never rose to the level of royalty again, but they maintain several noble titles throughout Summerlund.
