Caudus Tarmoore

Caudus Tarmoore was born in 695 SKR to Varwyn Tarmoore, then crown prince of Summerlund. His mother was Eldenia Sarfaria, a Half-Elf woman with Summerling blood. In 696 SKR, Varwyn became king when his older brother, Balwyr Tarmoore, passed away. This made little Caudus, only 1 year old, crown prince of Summerlund. When King Varwyn was slain by the Witch Queen in 705 SKR, Caudus became King of Summerlund at the age of 10. Although his mother was regent, it was Caudus who proved to be a brilliant tactician, petitioning the Conclave of the Seven Kingdoms for aid. He led his own armies in the Second Witching War, despite his youth, until he was slain at the Battle of Blackfields in 709 SKR, leaving no heir.

It became known in 1081 SKR that Varwyn and Eldenia had an infant son who was born after Varwyn's death. This child, Dalwyn Tarmoore, was hidden by his mother with Arcalos Goldbeard, who had him raised by other nobles in secrecy. Arcalos protected the bloodline down through little Tilomena, who was adopted by Talbot Holdfast as his own daughter and raised in Seowyn's Crossing. Her son, Tristan Holdfast, is the half-elven heir to the Tarmoore name.
