Serresque

Serresque is one of the Weavers, the mysterious, vanished race of Tol that may have been the first created by the Gods. When the rest of his race sacrificed themselves to create the Tarrasque, he was one of a handful of Weavers who refused death, choosing instead to become a Lich. When the rest of his people were destroyed and the Tarrasque was defeated, he retreated from the world with his followers, nursing his hatred for millennia. The rest of his cabal disintegrated into Demiliches, but his hatred keeps him strong.

He was one of the Five Who Call, a mysterious group who called forth the Tarrasque. His motivations remain shrouded in secrecy, but it’s known that he has taken up residence in the ancient city of Greathome. Besides granting the process called “Metamorphosis” to those Warforged who choose to follow him, he is also apparently following in the footsteps of a previous Weaver scientist, Simic, and experimenting on making hybrid creatures out of humans. Fortunately, the Fire Wasps intervened, as did the living Weaver Selentai. The Fire Wasps defeated Serresque, forcing his essence to retreat to its phylactery, and Selentai freed the Warforged from the danger of ever again being so completely dominated by his people.

The Fire Wasps faced Serresque again at the Battle of Worldbreaker's Howe . He did great damage to their allies (and to them) with a meteor swarm spell, and then battled largely with Tristan Holdfast and Naali Chamond. He eventually retreated from the fight, determined to exist and fight another day.
