Three Dragon Ante is a card game popular throughout the
Seven Kingdoms, although it is believed to have originated in
Falwyth. The cards depict various sorts of
Dragons, as well as mortal heroes, mortal villains, and the
Gods Bahamut and
Tiamat.
Dragonborn consider the game in poor taste at best and blasphemous at worst as a result.
Players play for coins, which they hold in their “hoard”. Bets are placed on each “flight”, or group of cards. Bluffing, strategy, and luck are all important elements.
Despite the distaste of Dragonborn, Three Dragon Ante seems likely to remain a popular game for some time.
