The Khidorin's existence was always of myth. A creature able to dance and weave through nearby creature's dreams, it is either seen as a dark omen or a blessing, depending on the culture of the person whom you're asking. It's existence was highly debated for thousands of years, until the 1500s after the Great War, when Mordekainen published a schorlarly paper as part of his ongoing partnership with the prestigious university of
Strixhaven . Some people still debate its existence, but those are in minority.
Appeareance
A Khidorin looks like an emaciated grey dog with hands in place of the head. In some depictions, it might be shown standing straight on its hind legs.
Sightings
It's most recent reported appearance would have supposedly been at Eclipse Castle, near
Athkatla , in the 1490 after the Great War. The legendary group of mercenaries and adventurers named the
Golden Company reported that the creature had been summoned from an infernal plane by a warlock cat named ''Mistigri'', before being banished by its summoner after hours of heated exchanges between the two. In the meantime, it would have allowed to channel a direct access from various dieities to the group of adventurers' dreams, in which the group was mildly intimidated into giving up on their quest of bringing down the gods.
