A low-level lackey in the
Daanaath Family crime syndicate and part-time
Sannish dealer. Guemos’s brother,
Mirach Daanaath IV, inherited control of the organization run out of the family-owned casino, but Guemos has proven to be too much of a fuckup to be trusted with much responsibility. He mostly hangs around the casino peddling
Sannish, dipping into his supply, and gambling away what little pocket money he gets from his brother.
Guemos has a long list of tabs across the city. His love for the finer things in life keeps him spending money he doesn't have. His younger brother Mirach IV takes care of these debts on his behalf, paying for Guemos's extravagance with Family money. Guesmos knows his brother will always bail him out, no matter how far deep he digs his hole.
An ever-growing list of people call Guemos their enemy or at the very least a nuisance, generally only tolerated because of his connections. Owing the wrong people has gotten Guemos into trouble before, so The Family keeps a bodyguard in Guemos's personal entourage.
Family
Guemos married
Nahiri Estiemont young when she became pregnant with
Honor. They built a small life for themselves supported by a few odd jobs here and there for the family, but that didn't last long. By the time Ralira (Honor) was 3 her parents were both selling and using sannish heavily.
When their son
Dharmos(person:4d66dc53-48c9-4a30-91d3-cb0ae3aff146) was born Guemos had totally fallen out of favor with the rest of the family. His drug habits had made him completely useless for work and he became little more than a liability. @[Mithlia barely knew her father before her sister's disappearance as he spent all his time at the casino or high on sannish wandering the streets.
The disappearance of Ralira shook Guemos and Nahiri both to the core and they spiraled downward together until Nahiri hit her rock bottom and left the city for Helm's Hold to get clean.
Guemos on the other hand tried to get back in his brother's good graces by picking up work here and there. This never worked out, but
Mirach IV took pity yet again on his brother and allows him to hang around as the family foots his bills.
Early Life
Guemos was the firstborn and was to be the heir to the Daanaath Dynasty. However, at his birth
Mirach III had her personal soothe sayer read the boy's future. Gazing into the weave, the fortune teller saw he was not the one that could lead the Daanaaths to greatness. Mirach III had the boy's father beheaded for wasting her time as she was forced to have another heir.
Guemos has carried this burden with him literally since birth. Never being good enough. Also nothing more than a waste of someone more important's time.
When his brother was born and assumed the name
Mirach IV Guemos was still too young to understand, but he would be taught the lesson of his insignificance every day for the rest of his life. While IV was kinder to him than their mother, he always lived in his younger brother's more capable shadow.
He discovered a love for the fighting pits at a young age (as his mother before him did), never making his way into the ring himself, but always on the look of for those with the ring of blue around their mouth - the telltale sign of sannish addicts. He swindled and stole from these men and women and eventually began selling the sannish he took from them making a great profit and starting to make a name for himself on the shadier side of the underbelly of society.
Disappearance
No stranger to new drugs, Guemos recently tired this strange new intravenous drug. He was given the drug by someone in the Black Lake District so the next day after taking it the first time he tries to go and score more......
Being the good guard he is, Chips (his personal bodyguard and general fixer) recognized this compulsion in Guemos is from his addiction to this new drug. The changes he saw in Guemos before scared him enough to try to stop Guemos from going. Somehow the wiry lithe drug-addled Guemos escaped and has not been seen since. Chips was caught by the Dead Rats as he tried to track his client down.
