Fountain of Healing

A natural fountain in the east of Caresnas that erupts at irregular intervals. The waters from the fountain are charged with healing energy.

Manifestation

Deep below ground is a cave which is occasionallly filled water, fed by rainfall in the area. This cave also houses a natural portal to the life giving radiant plane of energy. When there is both sufficient water and radiant energy built in the cave, the water may be forced up through fissures in the rock to erupt on the surface.
The water erupts in long sprays in a similar way to the fountains built by the wealthy, though in a far less regular fashion. The water itself glows slightly and seems to contain small gold flecks. Charged with radiant energy the water is a highly effective healing agent, though this effect lasts for no more than a few hours.
Bottled Water
Attempts have been made to bottle the water from the fountain but it loses it's healing powers too quickly for this to be an effective option

Natural or Divine?
Several have claimed that the fountain is a gift from a benign deity, though most established religions deny involvement. A study by wizards from the Colleges of Magic showed that the phenomenon is entirely natural, and any attempts to alter the water flow could disrupt it entirely.
Kingdom of Caresnas and Surroundings
Unpredictable
While it is possible to predict when the supply of healing energy will be strong enough to imbue the water with power, the level of rainfall is much less predictable. If too little falls in the region then there won; be enough to water to cause an eruption. If there is too much rain then the eruptions will be so frequent that the water won't have time to be imbued with healing power.
