Metalsmith
A metalsmith in its simplest presentation is a person that creates objects, tools, or crafts made of metals or metal alloys. Collectively, these are people who work with "all metals" and have and display skills and smiths can branch out into more disciplined and focused forms of metalsmithing.
For example, an experienced farrier will never be short of work or coin in the equestrian stronghold of Brusel, while there is no shortage of weapon or arrowsmiths to supply the Master Armorer of Damarel with swords, arrowheads, and various armors to arm the soldiers of Grand Army of Salvae that are stationed there as well as those that serve House Kordev. A gold or silversmith of particular renown may serve one of the crafting guilds in Arine's Merchant's District or a coinsmith in the employ of the Emperor of Salvae Empire or the King of Giamela. Or just the humble apprentice blacksmith that makes and repairs simple farming tools and nails to help keep his or her small town and the surrounding communities together and running.
An experienced metalsmith can forge just about anything a person, village, or kingdom may need when in the world is at peace and the days and nights calm. But at the end of the day there is a measurable difference in value between a talented weaponsmith and a goldsmith is blatant when the gongs of war sound.
