Giamela Kingdom (Guy-mel-ah)

Giamela is the smallest of the three countries of Kalbela, but it is also one of the most powerful in terms of military flexibility and trade control. Since its reoccupation and control of the Bay of Respite, Giamela controls the entire extended eastern seaboard of the Ocean of Torrose as they have the continent's fiercest and well-armed navies and are experts in navel warfare. As a result they are able to contain and control trade routes that extend into the deeper waters of the Torrose and access distant continents and resource rich islands and island-nations like the Kingdom of Oteth. Although known for its Royal Navy, the Royal Army too is nothing to scoff at, with rumors that a single Giamelan is worth at least three other soldiers in terms of arms, armor, and skill, especially on the water.   Due to the Giamela Kingdom's smaller size the lordships of the Giamela are much more connected to their monarchy and the monarchy to them as seen through their heraldry. Unlike the nobility of the Salvae Empire, whom are, by comparison, much more individualistic, the Giamelan nobility are deeply connected to their heritage on the seas. Thus, Giamelan nobility will have a symbolistic ford as part of their heraldry.

Structure

Giamela Monarchy: The Rycall Family and overseers of the country.   The High Council: Consists of Royal Family Members, other Wakeflow Nobility, and members of the Clergy.   The Marquess and Marchioness of Bhor Taruhm and the Marchioness of Brusel. The Two Families that oversee the Kingdom's laws across the lands of multiple barons and baronesses. They are specifically stationed at the Raja'ri and Salvae Borders due to their families' military backgrounds.   The Count of Midford. The Family that oversees the northeastern side of the country.   The Barons and Baronesses of Giamela. The scattered Lords and Ladies across the country. They are responsible for their own lands, its protection, and their own local militias and answer to the Marquess and Marchionesses and the Count.   The Clergy offer their own separate hierarchy from the Monarchy, but still hold seats on the High Council in the forms of the Abbots/Abbesses, often representing when the High Priest of the Seas is absent.
