The Cold War of Clans-Kin

There were scores of Dwarven Clans and dozens of Families that were scattered across the Spine of Salazar in a great period of prosperity in Dwarven History before the cataclysmic destruction of The Sundering. But, eventually individuals began to bicker and fight over rulership, inheritances, mineral rights, religion, territory, and culture causing small rifts and minor disagreements between individuals to inevitably spill over into Families and entire Clans.   The results of these scattered and seemingly innocuous conflicts would be seen across the centuries: The Southern March of the Grimstones and the insane ramblings of Huerdan Rockgut are some of many outcomes that would lead Dwarven-kind to decline.
