At the infancy of the third decade since the death of Lord Bastion Holt, and his clear lack of succession, the descendants of the Brotherhood of the Silver Shields continued to encroach and draw territorial lines amongst each other and for a few decades the tensions between the descendants were mild: a poached stag here, an interrupted pilgrimage there, an occasional soured or burnt crop; nothing that would spark an internal conflict.
That was until word had reached Lord Declan Moss, that his grand-niece would escape from be taken hostage the week prior; a date that Salvan Historians would dub "Summer's Ide of 758".
