The Hunt for Aennir

Expedition

Unclear

A group of adventurous travellers made an unlikely alliance to recover a fabled sword believed to have been lost at sea. Unfortunately for them, they did not succeed in their quest and they either died to undead warriors or got lost in the fog of the Mist Witch.

According to a legend of the Old Faith, the sword of Ostinatos, was lost at sea when he was fightning a dragon from The Continent. An anonymus adventurer discovered that the blade was actually hiding on a small island in Scovony. Five people, led by different goals and aspirations banded together on the ship named Pinque Lucilia to embark on a quest to recover the sword.   Upon reaching Fárhafrey, the group discovered that it was a small island covered in fog, that served as the home of a witch. The witch tasked them with three tests. The first two were to kill a creature that they could find by following the arm of a dead sailor. The sailor has cut the arm off and sent it to his friend who was living in exile on an island where all the cannibals were exiled to. Upon reaching his home, the group found that the cannibal left the island to complete something, probably using the arm. They followed the clues left and sailed to Húsley. On the island, the group found the creature, a Blood Eagle. In the erupting battle, the group was overwhelmed by Draugr who wandered the island and slain most of them.   The two southerners, followers of The Church of Order survived the ordeal and took the head of the creature back to the island. There, they faced the final challenge of the witch, which was to make a delicious meal for her. Unfortunately for the survivors, they ignored the warnings of the local ferryman and put milk into the meal, which the witch hated. Unsatisfied, the witch cursed the survivors to be lost at the magical swamp on the small, fog-covered island.
