Darth Vader and Moff Wilhuff Tarkin crush a Wookiee & Jedi rebellion on Kashyyyk led by Jedi Master Quinlan Vos, though Master Vos is able to escape.

In the aftermath of the Battle of Kashyyyk, in which the Republic beat back the Confederacy of Independent Systems, but then turned on its Jedi and Wookiee allies, Jedi Master Quinlan Vos comes out of hiding to rally other Jedi survivors to him. With the support of the Wookiees, they attempt to expel the Galactic Empire from the planet.   Darth Vader and Moff Wilhuff Tarkin arrive with reinforcements, crushing the Wookiee uprising and killing many of the Jedi, though Master Vos is able to escape.   In its first major attempt at sanitizing Imperial atrocities, COMPNOR uses footage from the fighting to spin the event as the Wookiees collectively joining the Jedi in treason, rather than the Jedi attempting to free the Wookiees from Imperial control. Due to the success of this propaganda campaign, the remaining members of the Delegation of 2,000 remove their signatures from the Petition of 2,000, effectively ending open opposition to Emperor Sheev Palpatine within the Imperial Senate. COMPNOR's broadcasts via HoloNet News are so successful at turning opinions against the Wookiees that no special attention will later be paid when then Grand Moff Tarkin exports Wookiee slaves to be used for manual labor off-world, principally on Project Stardust.
