Nephis, Home of the Druids (Grove of the Sorrow/)
The town of Nephis is a small open community that is very close to nature and studies the gods and their origins. The druids there also study other cultures and how the gods might relate to them in their own cultures of Elleryn.
Evolution of the Community:
When Arma Tennebris came to town, they ambushed Arch druid Celia and the other druids. Celia was the main target and fell first. With two Scions and the Book of the Vile, she folded against the power of the Dark Seer Nennoh and Kain with Fenrir’s Demise. The other elders Subuh and Sillem were killed as they tried to retreat. Artisan Melanie was flayed and hung outside the town from an elm tree. Celia and the other elders were turned into undead and their heads were put on spikes in the center of Nephis. It went from a beautiful community to something out of the nightmare. Rumor has it that it was blamed on a new wave of necromancers, but everyone of importance knows that Arma Tennebris were the perpetrators of the massacre and it is talked about in Illendor in hushed whispers between lords and royalty.
After Years:
After Arma Lucis defeated the Dark Seer and Arma Tennebris, much of their later efforts along with Kimble Nimble-Toad, went into rebuilding Nephis back into a thriving community. After five years, they rebuilt a majority of Nephis and welcomed in new citizens into their community. Nephis, like it originally was, is populated by many different ages and races of those who wish to commune and live among nature.
