Lined with mounted dragon heads, displayed bones, and trophies from other monstrous beasts, Yelle seems much more militaristic than your typical harengon farming village. After the destruction of several harengon villages to unprovoked dragon attacks, Sphagnum, an ex-turnip farmer, decided to read Zygat's books on wartime strategy. Using this knowledge he founded the harengon city of Yelle, a fortified cliffside city with an array of massive Hare-Trigger Balistae, or giant balista specifically designed to fend off aerial attacks. Though typically peaceful farmers, the harengon of The Edge began to migrate to Yelle to better protect their home and farmlands.
The city displays mounted trophies of various beasts and dragons on the signage of several of its storefronts. Trophy hunting has become a popular sport.
