Faerie

Faerie, sometimes called Mirrorwake or the Domain of Reflections, can be conceived of as being "sideways" from the Firmament of reality, much like its counterpart Erebus. Like Erebus it inverts the Firmament in shape and form, with its own spheres and continents and realms within it but instead of an inward-facing world, it faces outwards. It is a place attuned to animation, delerium and inspiration, but also tied to the past and stories. Faerie forms itself from the very essence of history, but as the many ensoulled beings of the Firmament conceive of it, and thus changes with one's perspective, or as the times are reevaluated. Its "native" inhabitants often claim it to be the First World, a blueprint on which the rest of the Firmament was based, but there's no grounding for such claims. It does appear similar to what recollections exist of that time, a primeval world of impossible geography, megalithic structures, and choking with flora and fauna at every turn.   Both the gnomes and goblins claim origin from Faerie, and there are other kindreds native to the Domain of Reflections: the sith consider themselves the natural aristocracy of this place, and while they did not always do so, they have begun to reflect the elves of the Terrestrial Sphere as their earthly counterparts take on such a role. While most associate Faerie with primal and primordial energy, and its fantastical skies channel the power of the Empyrean (some azatas and agathions even come to live in Faerie), it is not an intrinsicly Good domain. Indeed, it is the home of hags and other wicked creatures, often referred to as the unseelie, and the Un-Dead can be animated just as much by positive energy as negative, with a whole class of revenants tied to this place. The difference between a ghost and a fairy to most, being both creatures of ethereal nature, is rather thin.   Like Erebus, Faerie can be accessed physically by those who know the way, usually through passages into the Underworld of Chur, which Faerie shares with Erebnus a deep resonance with. While passage into Erebus requires complete darkness, passage into Faerie requires some kind of reflective surface to pass. The sky of Faerie is at once day and night, with the stars, moons, and planets almost like living things. Thresholds into Faerie are marked by its ethereal tendrils, which look like brambles and thorns made of filigree and glass. The Fisher Prince claims the Thrones of Ascension of this Domain, and thus the Principle of Summer, but his rule is hardly uncontested among the Firstborn. The Plane of Anima is the eldritch extension of Faerie into an infinite dimension mostly attuned positive energy.
