Psychological Profile

Even among Vulcans, N'Vol is highly intelligent however this has shown to be both a asset and a hinderance for him. In unusual or rapidly shifting situations his ability to swiftly come to logical conclusions often leads to effective and decisive actions. However during routine encounters this seems to leave him bored or even frustrated and this comes across in his communication with other crew members. Cmn. Madigan has shown signs of distress from having to work alongside N'Vol for an extended period of time.
ADDENDUM: In the time since the attack and the subsequent refit it seems that N'Vol and Po. Tilly may have become romantically involved. As they are of similar rank and different departments there is no further consideration needed.

Biographical Overview

N'Vol was born into a family of simple farmers. It was a large family by Vulcan standards and he ended up being a little lost in the middle of the group. While his parents pushed all their children to continue farming N'Vol chose instead to focus on continuing education and started studying at the Vulcan Academy of Science. He struggled to maintain parity with his peers and ended up transferring into Starfleet Academy focusing less on pure science and research and instead finding aptitude in sensor and deflector dish operations.
During an observation tour of the USS Odyssey, N'Vol was present when the Dominion] attacked and succeeded in destroying the ship. N'Vol had been disembarked to Deep Space 9 as with other non-essential personnel and civilians present but this destruction was very disruptive for N'Vol and the other cadets present.
Upon graduation N'Vol was originally going to be assigned to the USS Sitak which was going to be transitioned to fight the Dominion however he requested a personal transfer to a science ship which was granted and he was instead stationed on the USS Nightingale.

2377 Update - Captain Lewis

N'Vol and Po. Zh'Tillal have continued their relationshp for over a year. It is only worth noting because Lt. Sel has reprimanded them over their public displays of affection going so far as to re-assign N'Vol as punishment. It seems that the matter has been resolved as Lt. Sel has reassigned Lt. N'Vol back to his original assignment.
