Tooth and Nail
Tooth & Nail is a Duras that was built only a few hundred years ago. Kept in the original family for many generations, it has just recently fallen into care under a young bearfolk named Ursus Arctos. Before this, an Ursine named Nofgrin cared for the Duras. Nofgrin's father and grandfather and so on and so forth took care of Tooth & Nail all the way back to its construction in 600 OV. At least...that's how the story went.
In truth, Nofgrin was, unfortunately, the first and last of his bloodline. It was not even known if he was truly from Kipburn. He just showed up one day and earned his place. After a short time he impressed the elders so much that when the Tooth & Nail needed a new owner, it just made sense for it to be him. No one made a fuss about it; it was just meant to be.
But out of all of the unknowns of Nofgrin's life, it was known that he had neither sired a cub nor sought out a partner in all of his days. Perhaps his solitary nature is what drew him to the young, orphaned bearfolk that showed up under his care one day. Whatever the reason, no one challenged Nofgrin on his decisions.
Tooth & Nail had another shift in management when the old bear passed away suddenly. But by then Ursus Arctos had impressed the right people to continue the tradition of handing over the Duras to those who had been given another chance at life.
