The first men arrive in six ships off the coast of Flyrbjorn
The era between the arrival of men in Valeria and the founding of the Church of the Celestial
The army of King Magnas I and the forces of the Church of the Celestial laid siege to the City of Kedway. After a short few weeks, a daring assault led by the king himself led to the surrender of the city. One week later, on the 19th day of Coldeven, King Ulfryc Kedwyn laid down his arms and swore fealty to Magnas, converting to the Church of the Celestial. This marked the beginning of King Magnas' conquest of the Northern Realms.
The host of King Magnas I set camp on the western side of the River Vale and began bombarding Tyrfelas. The forces of Myr and Kedway crossed the river to the North near Castor, but were intercepted by a force led by Lord Mayor of Sharnwick, Eckhart Threshor. Though outnumbered, Lord Threshor successfully held off the host using harassing tactics, slowing the advance of the Myrian forces to a crawl, reeking havoc among their supply lines, and refusing to give them an open battle. Eventually, through miracle or dastardly schemes, agents of the Holy Speaker were able to infiltrate the camp of Lord Threshor's forces and affect a mutiny. Soon after Tyrfelas was surrounded, though her sturdy walls would hold for some months before starvation overcame the defenders.
Just before the suspicious death of King Hrovir Magnas, the Sylveran and Cilestian realms were rocked by twin bloody coups and subsequent brutal civil wars.
Following the death of King Hrovir, the suspicious disappearance of two diplomatic missions to the Sylderan elves called into question their loyalty to the Kingdom of Valeria.
A dispute between the Kedwin and Flyrbjorn chapters of the Ore Merchant's Guild escalated to violence before being resolved by the respective rulers of the two duchies. The Duke of Kedwin, Kelrex Amon, chose to profit by saturating the market with surplus ore. As a result, the ore market was destabilized, and House Amon of Kedwin became reviled by guilds throughout Valeria.
A strange old man arrived in a small village along the Bay of Ruin in Vrelect. He preached against the Church of The Celestial Flame and claimed to speak for The One True God before leading a host of locals into the mountains where they seemed to vanish.
In the autumn of 803 CA, the grain crop in Valen fell victim to a blight. Though grain was available from the Solderan Empire, the Small Council chose not to show weakness to their traditional foes. The people of the Northern Realms suffered under the famine as a result.
A strange mineral left in the wake of the Salt Coast Corsair raids puzzled the scholars of The Royal Academy of Science in Skallgrim. The resulting study, and the Small Council's patronage of it, was considered near heresy by The Church of The Celestial Flame.
On the 13th day of Ready'reat 803, an earthquake destroyed the Iron Hills Keep along the Valerian border with the Ironfoot Kingdom.
