Paipivaria

History

In the year 268 at the Battle of Nant, a Krebriteron army was routed by a makeshift army of caniic and saurians.   Paipivaria was named by Igaran, the saurian king  who ruled following the Battle of Nant. That kingdom reached its pinnacle of strength during Gael the Great's rule.   It was divided among Gael's children and grandchildren upon his death in 525. Businesses and pilgrims flocked from Krebriteron, boosting the kingdom's commercial significance but it never regained its political standing.   After seizing crucial coastal territories, Vruchainad cut Paipivaria off from the ocean in 690. However, when an invading force from western Iosse attempted to invade Vruchainad  via those annexed territories in 702, a small but significant contingent of two hundred Paipivarian knights were deployed to assist Vruchainad in repelling the onslaught, and proved decisive in the battle.   In 1234, the indigenous monarchy died out, and their heirs intermarried with families from the Krebriteronian  sphere of influence. However, Paipivarians kept the majority of their laws and institutions. Paipivaria suffered a period of domestic conflict following the death of Queen Aoitz in 931, which resulted in Vruchainad interfering in Paipivaria's internal affairs and tightening their grip on the once-powerful kingdom. It preserves its nominal independence, but exists in reality as a puppet state under the control of Vruchainad.
