Tamto Mountains
The Tamto Mountains are a mountain range that spans nearly the whole length of the Opristan Peninsula, approximately 750 miles. To the southwest they join the Gray Mountains. They proceed southeastward till they reach the easternmost tip of the peninsula.
The Tamtos have been successful in protecting some of the peninsula's few remaining pristine landscapes and rare animals. These woodlands and meadows, which are scattered around the mountains, are home to some of Imirus' best-preserved species of flora and wildlife. The Dire Wolf and Owlbear, which were once common in central Imirus, now have their largest populations in these mountains.
They are predominantly lush grassy slopes, with the exception of Sommerock Field, the Tomtos' only glacier, which covers a piece of the peninsula's tallest mountain, Parrnan Grand. The city-states of the Opristan Peninsula's foothills are located on the peninsula's northern slopes, while the steep southern slopes plummet to the Sapphire Gulf.
