Vergar Empire - Imir

The Vergar Emprire is named for the deity Vergar named Imir They believe this deity to have created the mountains and all other natural things.  The name is only spoken in ritual settings by members of The Order and only on rare occasions. To most people, the empire is simply known by its nom de guerre - The Sovereign Vergar Empire, the Sovereignty, or dismissively as the vulgar.
Officially, the Vergar claim the continent for themselves. However, there are pockets of the continent where their administrative reach is unknown. For example, in the far north east the Eldar vampires rule autocratically and without any interference from Vergar for millenia.
Orc pay fealty to the Vergar but recognize the Sovereignty as an institution to be tolerated rather than welcomed. Heritage stories of Vergar subjugation due to sylvar armor and weapons have led to orcs agreeing to beings vassals while still resenting perceived Vergar arrogance.
