House Skelsmith
Skelsmith rule the Cinderhold in Hero's Rest and are sownr bannermen of House Glore as a Principal House.
The banner is the color of polished steel with a glowing red anvil at its centre, stripes made of molten metal running down the banner. Tiberius Bloodsteel changed the stripes of molten metal to stripes of blood after he created Bloodsteel.
Supports Cortys through the daughter of the First Soulsworn, Vesuvius Glore, who was mother to Sir Galienes Cortys.
The knights and warriors of Skelsmith forge their weapons and armor using a unique process that involves infusing iron with their own blood. This bloodsteel is said to be stronger and more durable than regular iron, and only the bravest and most skilled warriors are able to master this art.
This is done by House Skelsmith alone, who guard the secret vehemently. The creation of Bloodsteel seperates them from common Blacksmiths and the Anvil Guild.
Although Bloodsteel weapons are idolized by the commonfolk as swords that can cut through anything and never break, the truth is that Bloodsteel swords are just stronger and more durable. They have the same cutting capacity as other swords, but they do not knick, and they do not break, which is still a great benefit, but they do not compare to Priscillan or even Xandrian artifacts.
Skelsmith is working on a big project to forge a Bloodsteel weapon for each House as commanded by Glore, leaving Glore for last with the best sword. They have started with House's that don't already possess artifacts in the north, and are working their way south.
Skelsmith possess the Bloodsteel sword Vorgath.

History
House Skelsmith trace their origins all the way back to the raising of Old Iron at the end of the Yellow Campaign. They were the friends (workers) of the First Witness, who found the great stores of Iron in Mount Ferrum that would create the foundation of the Iron Kingdom. The First Witness found and mined the iron, and then used his magic to forge the first steel. Skelsmith took his invention and innovated, creating modern forges and smithing techniques with such perfection that they would be used for hundreds of years to supply the Iron Kingdom with knightly armor, and then the Iron Empire after them. They became the blacksmiths of Iron, and then when demand rose during the Triumvirate Era, they started to teach others how to blacksmith. This became a necessity during the Great Settling, when they found the iron of the Virnach Mountains and the population (and subsequent knights) boomed. Skelsmith took to instead becoming more noble, holding to their blacksmith skills but overseeing the more menial tasks that were now beneath them. This would separate them from the Anvil Guild, who would become the guild responsible for actual blacksmithing in the Iron Empire.
As the Anvil Guild took over the forging production in the Empire, Skelsmith took a back seat. But when Wulfric Skelsmith I appeared, a firstborn son of House Skelsmith, he decided to join the Guild under a false name. He claimed that the Anvil Guild had grown overconfident and arrogant, and that Skelsmith was still superior in every way. So he became a journeyman and worked his way up in the guild like any other commonfolk. Wulfric was known as the Smith of the Gods, or the Godsmith, for his unmatched skill and prowess with the hammer. He created such beautiful works of iron steel that he quickly rose to the rank of Master within the guild, before revealing himself as a Skelsmith. Then, he left the guild, after ensuring that they knew he was above them.
After the Smith of the Gods, House Skelsmith continued to focus there obviously superior skills on something new, and centuries after their innovation with classic steel on Old Iron, Tiberius Skelsmith created Bloodsteel.
