Academy

The Academy in the Tomes District in Zagreanis Vaspira's school of magic. Nearly all of Zagrean's success and prominance comes from being the center of the magical world, and the Academy is the place from which that stems. They are led by the Council of Eight. The Academy maintains a strict monopoly on magic within Vaspira, specifically on the Arcane. While self-taught hedge wizards and natural born sorcerers are tolerated, any who attempt to found another school or teach the use of magic to an apprentice without the Academy's permission may find themselves facing the edge of a Apostheos knife.
