Ironwater Fort
This is the location of the Tabonry mayor's offices and home. It is a multi-story, white-stone fortress made in a traditional square fort shape with a tower in each corner. It rests on a 40ft cliff that overlooks the barges travelling along the Horn River. There is a wide, sloped, cobblestone path that descends to the nearby Cobblefield plaza.
Ironwater Fortress was built several hundred years ago to watch over the river for the King of Navarre. It's barracks still house the city guards, but it's dungeons are now filled with books and law books.
"The highest tower of Ironwater can see from one end of Navarre to the other; always there to protect the kingdom." - Old Tabonry sayingThere is plenty of foot traffic from merchants and officials coming and going past the guards at the gate to the fortress. As long as you have some valid reason to be there, the guards let people through. Be prepared to wait hours, or even days, to be seen, as the mayor sees only a few visitors as day. Tabonry is lead by Mayor Finely Hale.
