Purpose / Function
The Afterlife Casino is one of the many staples of Paradisus. It was built after the city had already began its rise to luxurious travel destination. The Guardian Prosperity proposed the initial plan because the city was "missing something." In reality, he was looking for an easy way to gain profit and popularity for the city.
Architecture
The Afterlife Casino is a Nine-Hells-themed charcuterie board of sin right on the coast of Paradisus. Parked right on the edge of the Red-light district and the casino district, it has become the epicenter of the nightlife in the city. It takes advantage of a naturally forming shelf of rock that extends out into the void-like sea. A scorched brick bridge that extends from its carnival-like plaza at street-level to a fortress carved into the rock. Massive stalactites form a natural dome over the semi-open air games hall, the main attraction amongst many.
History
How the Afterlife Casino came to be is hardly known by Paradisians and tourists alike. In what seemed like weeks, the Guardian Prosperity and the casino's owner, Dmexus, were already cutting the ribbin signifying the grand opening. Some questioned it, but eventually all were captivated by the charm of the casino and the owner himself. What remains hidden, except from a select few,
Tourism
Even though it isn't the oldest money maker for Paradisus, the Afterlife Casino has managed to become the best. Anyone, no matter their background, will find a way to fit a night at this venue in their itinerary. What also helps allure travelers is the constant hosting of tournaments for the popular game Three-Dragon Ante. Whether it be minor league, major league, or random exhibition matches, more often than not a related event will be occuring at the venue. It's generally agreed upon that Three-Dragon Ante is an easy and fun game to pick up, but the amount of skill certain high profile players are manage to display with a simple-at-a-glance game has built a fanbase like no other.
