Highvale

Highvale is a massive union headed by a small loyal council of the three original founders. They are well-loved by the people of Strathmore despite their, at times, harsh sentencing. Their motto is "Brothers in Arms" and they fight hard to live up to that motto. All members of the union are as close as thick as thieves. Their familial, laid-back nature causes them to be a favorite among adventurers. They have a fairly vigorous recruiting process to help with the high demand of applicants. When a member of Highvale completes a task that is very impressive or is important to the member, they are ceremoniously granted a last name that reflects that event. They take union matters very seriously and will do anything it takes to keep the people they work for and the union safe.

Structure

Highvale is run by a council of 3 made up of the original members of an adventuring crew that eventually turned into a union: Ashan, Fongir Irontusk, and Izin Demoncaller. The three of them work together to make sure things are running smoothly for the union. Fongir is in charge of their police force, Izin is in charge of the internal logistics of the union, and Ashan works as the official head of the union.

Recruitment

To join Highvale one must demonstrate an aptitude for combat. Usually, this is through completing a task given by the union. Examples include: taking out a squad of orcs, helping local townsfolk with a monster, or wining in single combat with a member. Because Highvale is the current Union Seat the recruitment requirements are more strict than normal because of the massive uptick in requests.

History

Highvale was originally founded as a store that sold items from Ashan, Izin, and Fongir's adventuring. They were hoping to use the store as a way to begin settling down and leaving the adventuring lifestyle behind, but they were never people who could turn a blind eye to someone in need. So when people would come into the shop with a problem, Ashan and his friends would help them out. Over time they became known for this and they decided to change their store into a full-fledged union so that they could help out others.
