    In the year 212 AC, King Adam Whiteshield of Lothen initiated a maritime campaign to conquer the formidable islands situated to the south. These lands, plagued by powerful monsters and deemed cursed due to the adverse weather conditions linked to the Sentinel, posed a significant challenge. Captain Mascardi Berio, at the helm of a crew comprising 21 pirates, led this daring expedition on behalf of the kingdom.

    The Monster Serperia
    Metaphysical / Paranormal event

    Mascardi Berio and the crew of the 21 Seagulls encounter the colossal sea monster Serperia near the isle of Akra. In a daring move, one of the crew members crafts a magical horn that lulls the sea monster into a deep slumber, effectively evading the immediate threat for countless ages.

    The War of the Southern Seas
    Military action

    The king of Lothen dispatched an armada after Mascardi, sparking the "The War of the Southern Seas." The royal army suffered a significant defeat, leading Mascardi to establish the autonomous kingdom of the Trident. Known as "Mascardi, the Slayer of Monsters" or "The Lord of the Sea," he became a living legend among sailors. With the mermaids' treasure, Mascardi fortified the new kingdom, constructing castles, ships, and armies. Upon Mascardi's death in 235 AC, his illegitimate son, Mario Berio, inherited the kingdom.

    The Mermaid Treasure
    Life, Wealth

    During the 21 Seagulls expedition, Mascardi Berio ventured north to the island of Ayaton, battling hordes of mutated creatures and the undead. His crew suffered from powerful magic and curses. After the fights, Mascardi found an ancient treasure in the mermaid islands near Ayaton, consisting of gold, diamonds, and magical items. Some crew members tried to escape with loot, faced consequences. King Adam of Lothen demanded the treasure back, but Mascardi, refusing, was branded a traitor.

    Branded an enemy of Lothen, Mascardi Berio and his crew, aided by other pirates and mercenaries, founded the autonomous kingdom of the Trident.

    The Founding of the Burning Ship
    Founding

    In 322 AC, Captain Gestavo Rye navigated his Burning Ship through the treacherous Vespia Sea after a successful expedition in the western seas of the Cell. With a burning cross on the prow imbued with protective magic, he was hailed in Sarathorn. With the support of local pirates, he conquered the island and established the kingdom of the Burning Ship in 325 AC, expanding their maritime influence.

    The Founding of the Pearl
    Founding

    In 450 AC, Marjelo Sarathian, an emissary of the royal army of Lothen, turned against the kingdom and settled in Reyaport with the help of king Brandin Berio. This led to a series of events that resulted in the forming of yet another kingdom, and years later, in 607 AC, the fourth kingdom of the southern seas that bore the sigil of the Pearl, was officially formed by a man named Veniar Sarathian.

    The Founding of the Empire of the Trident
    Founding

    In 650 AC, reports of military movements in Armorgrand raised concerns among the southern kingdoms. To address the threat, city-state rulers convened to discuss a potential alliance against external dangers. By 670 AC, the decision to unite the kingdoms was reached, forming the Trident Empire. Each city-state retained some independence but pledged allegiance to the Sea Lord, named after the legendary Mascardi Berio. Marami Rye of Akra became the first Sea Lord, establishing the royal army known as the "Sea Raiders."

    Mysteries in the sea of Vespia
    Metaphysical / Paranormal event

    In 770 AC, King Alerio Rye, also known as "Blacktooth," formed an elite force of skilled captains and warriors. He dispatched them to explore the Vespia Sea. However, only a few returned, sharing alarming reports of a chaotic underwater world in the depths of Vespia, where the laws of nature seemed to have no sway.

    Ghost Ships of Vespia
    Plague / Epidemic

    In 1002 AC, certain islands of the west, faced attacks by empty vessels that came from the cursed lands of the western continent. These vessels had no crews, only diseases and curses of the west, and the Sea Lord, Arazio Sarathian, recruited an Order of Healers called “The Touch” to fight off the diseases that were spread. The attacks stopped when a team under the command of one Terkal Akaro of Saraport, attacked a castle that was spotted on a small island in the Vespia Sea, where the attacks seemed to originate from.

    The Vespia Sea Prohibition
    Civil action

    In 1270 AC, more ships, along with their crews got lost in the Vespia sea. The myth of Taarum, “The Lich of the Seas” had been born, and the area became prohibited under the command of the Sea Lord, Biriho Elya of Ayaton.

    Elves in Sarathorn

    In 1820 AC, a contingent of Maor Elves arrived in the Sarathorn jungle using blimps. Their attempt to occupy a portion of the island and assert control was thwarted as the islanders successfully repelled them.

    The Battle of the Wave
    Expedition

    King Ethan Ororo of Dragoria, also known as the Sea Dragon, builds the “Black Scale Fleet”, a large number of war ships that raid the shores of Exotia and the islands of the Trident Empire. The Dragorian fleet earns a reputation among pirates, causing reactions that soon lead to naval conflicts around the Siria and the Eidon sea. The Dragorians managed to captivate several small islands and posts of minor importance but only temporarily. In 1853 AC, they meet a crushing defeat in the “Battle of the Wave” when almost all of their fleet was destroyed by a huge wave, most likely summoned magically by the elves of Exotia, ending the naval expeditions of Ethan Ororo for good, as well as his life.
