House Ynarri
House Ynarri is a vassal house of House Kriegschiff known for the navigation skills and talented elemental spellcasters. Led by the young Aemond Ynarri, also known as the Sea Snake after the death of his elderly father the blood of dragons runs thick in this family and manifests in the color of their eyes and grants increased resistance to the correlating type of element. The house has a fierce reputation as though their numbers are low they have a proud lineage and most of their rank dedicate themselves fiercely to a chosen craft making them incredibly dangerous warriors or unrivalled craftsmen. Their seat lies in the castle known as Skyreach located off the shore of the nearby Driftwood Coast their sigil is that of a white dragon overtop a sea green backround and their words are Righteous in Wrath.
Structure
House Ynnari is organized in a traditional manner with one lord who sees to all matters with the assistance of their court. The only different is that House Ynnari does not select an heir based off gender, and simply elects the eldest child or closest relative should a new lord be appointed.
Culture
The Culture of House Ynnari is one of pride in their ancestry and lineage being descendants of great Dragonriders in the time of the War of Fire and Ice. Their ancestor fought alongside and rode great and powerful dragons, fighting fiercely against the giants they viewed as barbaric savages. The land they rule was the last holdout of their once great dragon empire and though their numbers are few they carry on with pride. The people of the region are well known to be fierce and adventerous and with their naturally magical blood this region contains a high population of naturally powerful elemental sorcerers.
Assets
House Ynnari is the second wealthiest house in the Kustlands only beaten by the house they pledged their alliegance to, House Kriegschiff. They attain this wealth from the abundant fishing of the region, proftable trade routes by way of their vast navy and the valuable gemstones that are mined underneath the rock that their castle of Skyreach was built upon. The Ynari posess a standing army of 4000 men, equipped with sea worthy breastplates and feathered plume helmets flying the color of their dragon lineage. Their navy has over 100 warships.
History
House Ynarri is storied, tracing its lineage back to before even The Scourge during a time when their ancestors and their bonded dragons were the most powerful force on the continent until a massive war known as the War of Ice and Fire broke out and drove the dragons from this land leaving the last holdout in the castle of Skyreach to fall into squalor. Not content to let their glory fade they entered the fold during The Scourge and fought valiantly earning their place as a noble house of the newly formed kingdom of The Aleanza. Present day, though they posess no dragons, they are a force to be reckoned with and command respect from every house that flies its banners in the country.
