Baron Hef

Clan: Ventrue   Sire: Abigail Lewis   Childer: Tyrique Williamson , Tyler Jr   Generation: 9     Biography   Baron Tyler Hef, also known as Old Hef, is a Ventrue anarch baron who is based in the Lower Island's Historic District.   Baron "Old" Hef was born in the early 1800s somewhere in the wild west of the United States, in a slave state. He grew up in a family that owned slaves, and as he got older, he developed a ruthless and cold-hearted personality. Hef became a cowboy and bounty hunter, always relying on his trusty revolver to get the job done.   Hef was not a good person, and he was responsible for a lot of misery. After he made a small fortune, he purchased some land and ran a plantation to multiply his wealth further. He treated his slaves with cruelty and disdain, and he didn't care about their well-being as long as they made him money.   Sometime after his embrace by Abigail Lewis and after the U.S. Civil War Hef created a company and moved east to join the industrial revolution. He saw a great opportunity to make even more money, and he didn't hesitate to take advantage of it. Hef helped build his sire's home city of Tri-Island, using his business acumen and connections to become one of the most successful businessmen in the city.   After traveling around a bit, Hef decided to settle down as the Baron of the historic district in the Lower Island of Tri-Island City. He saw an opportunity to gain more power and influence, and he didn't hesitate to use any means necessary to achieve his goals. Upon returning, however, the kindred society of the city they once helped build was being terrorized by an unknown foe. Many in the city, anarch, camarilla, autarkis, and even sabbat members had gone missing. At first the sects blamed one another but soon the unspoken consensus was that there was a serial diablerist in their midst... no one was safe. Hef, alongside his 'brother' Baron Eric uncovered their sire's secret... she was a serial diablerist terrorizing the once fearless creatures of the night. Deciding they had to act, Hef and Eric set a trap for her.     Baron Hef is not a good man, but he is a good businessman and extreme capitalist. He knew how to make money, and has been willing to do whatever it takes to achieve his goals for the past 150 years. He built an empire. He was feared and respected by everyone who has known him, and he never hesitated to use violence or intimidation to get what he's wanted. He is ruthless, cruel, and calculating, and doesn't really care about anyone except himself.     Appearance   Despite living in the modern era, Hef prefers to wear old western inspired clothes. He most often wears riding jeans, a leather holster belt with big medallion, a vest, shirt, and a cowboy hat. His hair is white and cut in a distinctly cowboy style. He stands at 5'7" and appears quite thin. His hands are well calloussed and veined, clearly showing his use of them in life.     Modern Nights   Hef continues to run his business empire out of the Historic District on the Lower Island. He has recently come into conflict with Baron Eric and The Coterie. Everlast Lacroix even managed to negotiate the freedom of his childer, attorney, and right hand, Tyrique Williamson. On the orders of herald Charles Castle, Old Hef has retreated into his territory and seemingly put a stop to the open hostilities between himself and Baron Eric's forces. Charles Castle's latest letter informed both Baron Hef and Baron Eric that one of them must die within the next six months or else the wrath of the Camarilla will rain down on both of them and their domains.
