Methuselah

Kindred of the 4th and 5th generations who have lived over a millennium, Methuselahs are the oldest and most powerful kindred in the vampire society. They are the stuff of legends and often seen as more akin to mythical beings than ordinary vampires. Methuselahs are incredibly rare, and most vampires never encounter one in their entire unlife.
Ranking above Lord, Elder, Ancilla, Neonate, and Fledgling alike, Methuselahs are some of the most dangerous individuals to walk the face of the planet.
Methuselahs are often removed from the politics of kindred society despite having been involved in shaping it since its earliest days. They possess immense knowledge and power, often including disciplines beyond those available to younger vampires. Methuselahs have a wealth of experience and have witnessed countless events throughout history, giving them a unique perspective on the world.
While some Methuselahs may be active in the current nights, many choose to retreat into torpor, a deep sleep that can last centuries or even millennia. When a Methuselah does awaken from torpor, it can cause significant shifts in the vampire society as they may seek to reassert their influence or enact plans they set in motion long ago. Most Methuselahs are working towards their own ends, fiercely independent but still maintaining power over other kindred and sects, often acting as an Autarkis.
Methuselahs are feared and respected by other kindred, and many younger vampires seek their favor or attempt to curry their support. However, Methuselahs are also prone to paranoia and suspicion, and may view younger vampires as threats to their power or even seek to manipulate them for their own purposes.
