General Summary
Alton Splits the Party
- Alton followed his sister back almost all the way back to where the party had entered the city.
- She entered a shack casually guarded by a couple dark elves and a goblin on the roof.
- Alton snuck inside, using his temporarly invisibility and increadible stealth . He also asked Vaena for a distraction. She turned into a spider and attacked one of the guards.
- He evesdropped on the silent conversion.
- His sister was annoyed, demanded the other fellow just tell her "who the threat was" etc.
- Eventually, he passed something to her and she left.
- Outside, Vaena, a bat again, had knocked one of the guards out.
- Alton followed his sister a little farther, picked her pocket, and left to meet up with the party.
- He found a piece of fabric with the symbol for some minor house, Dillery, known for producing fine coats and shoes.
Captain Farren's Wine and Cheese
- In the bazaar, ignoring any of the sketchy, curtained off areas, Farren found a stall selling wine.
- Farren purchsed a rather expensive bottle.
- Farren then purchased a pound of cheese he knew nothing about.
- Ryltar found that the shoe store Alton had spoken about had moved a few stalls down.
- In order to drink the wine, Farren purchased some glasses. He was able to negotiate a deal at Barnozz's Fine Glasswear and Alchemy. Apparently, there had been some delays with one of their alchemical suppliers.
- Harold was very dissapointed in his ability to find a nice, magical, souvenir.
Goodbye Forever
- In a pile of apparent junk for sale, Harold found a doll vaguely resembling a dark elf. It spoke some random phrases. "Goodbye Forever""Come to the place where we first met.""Are you safe?"
- When the captain tried to remove any curses on the doll, the doll added his words to it's vocabulary "I have no idea if it worked or not."
- When Harold used prestidigitation to make the doll smell like Black Lotus Mead, it repeated his words, "Here you go, captain"
- Harold and Farren confonted the merchant, a hobgoblin presumably named Zrakur. He claimed his goods were ethically sourced and his sources confidential.
- They paid him some extra coins and he told them he found it discarded behind the Dancing Dwarf.
Children
- Alton found Rayne, a stack of boxes piled up in his arms. He had a new spiderweb pattererned scarf with an unfamiliar maker's mark.
- Alton sent a message to Ryltar and managed to regroup with the party
- Behind the Dancing Dwarf, a bar of some sort, there was something like a dumpster, with an ooze at the bottom.
- Before the party investigated, Alton interrupted a confrontation between two children. One of whom had a message to deliver, claimed he could not pass the message on to anyone by the recipient (due to magic) and eventually ran back away. The other claimed this was his boss's territory, and was trying to intercept the message. He, for a small price, told Alton that house Dillory might have had some beef with a competitor, then rand off in the other direction.
- Harold was unable to find much relating to the doll. Both children denied any knowledge of it.
- Alton found some discarded, ragedy children's sized clothes in the dumpster.
- The party chose to put the matter aside, and headed straight for Andichar's house.
- Alton glimpsed another half sister, overseeing some kind of training exerciese at his old home.
- The party knocked on Andichar's door. Harold knocked with lightning bolt. They were greeted by a little girl who seemed a bit unprepared. "We aren't ready for you right now"
- Harold charged in, found himself in a sealed room with a wall sconce and tried to destroy it.
- The little girl uttered a line about "seeing what they had learned."
- Alton entered after Harold and lit the sconce, opening the wall into another room.
- Farren, Ryltar, and Beau came in just behind them.
