Rayne
(a.k.a. The Wanderer, the Wandering god, Raynirael)
In the year 2457 ADC, the crew of the Retribution encountered Rayne by chance ion the sky island of Reveer.
Rayne appeared as a semi-retired elf, living in a small cottage on the sacred sky island of Reveer. This cottage was later found to be ever so greatly larger on the inside. The party was concerned to varying degrees upon discovery that the occupation from which he was semi retired from was 'god'.
Harold's theft of an apple offered to Rayne and somewhat rude interaction somehow resulted in Harold being 'blessed' with monarch wings by the unpredictable deity.
Rust was intrigued by the tiny mountain goats on the god's property. It seemed that Rayne had shrunk one of the mountains and all flora and fauna on it, ostensibly to improve the view from his residence.
The party was slightly concerned for Rayne's horse, which he claimed was in fact a man turned into a horse to compensate for that same man having killed Rayne's previous horse. After consideration, the party let this matter go, though they did ask him later if he had found a way to stop his horse from running away.
Wanting only to help, Gore entreated Rayne to revive a sky elf who had been murdered. Rayne did not seem to see any reason to grant this miracle until Rust and Farren pointed out that it could be amusing if he brought the elf back but also had him switch bodies with his brother (who at that time was mourning him). Thoroughly convinced, Rayne granted the request, but had the brothers alternate bodies periodically, and included a third brother, who was on rather poor terms with the other two. A fight ensued and Gore retreated to the ship, convinced more than ever that religion brought only problems.
Rayne invited the party to dinner, treating them to all manner of delicacies, granting Rust a sense of taste, scribbling something in Zed's spellbook, complaining that Krumbleton's god, Thor, never visited him and shared a rather confused account of Andichar the Fiend.
Later, Rayne was invited by the party for dinner on the ship, which he enjoyed. The party tried to get him to part with the 'heart' of the Hag, Cold Sherry, whom they had defeated at the sacred fountain. Rayne saw no reason to give it to them, but agreed to hand it over later, if they were to complete some kind of scavenger hunt. The first item on his list being 'something you have destroyed that is not destroyed'.
