Barrier Island

More a description than a name, the Barrier Island snakes long and narrow off the east coast of Kapaerian Island. Mountainous and humid, expeditions to sites there have found a unique ecosystem, dense cloud-filled forest, and extremely steep terrain dominated by mountain ranges. Most of it lies unexplored still - The Swift hub sits near its centre, and the Kinaari village of Landing near the southern tip, but for the most part the difficulty in navigation has left it a mystery so far.
