Hummish

I've known many Hummish in my life, all right. A tough and fierce bunch they are — exactly the kind of men you'd want to have beside you in battle. And you'll have plenty of fights should you decide to spend time alongside a Hummish, believe me on that. They'll never run away from danger or leave their friend to face it alone, but they'll expect you to do the same for them.

The Hummish have always put a lot of emphasis on war and personal strength, even before they were conquered by the Ardenian Empire. For centuries, they have served as the bulk of the Empire's forces, which inevitably amplified that trait of their society. The fact that Hummish were initially forced into military service, to begin with, didn't help matters either. Most of the Hummish are proud and difficult to deal with, quickly jumping to conclusions and not hesitating to draw a blade. And while many Hummish choose to live peaceful lives, more and more nowadays, their reputation is still heavily defined by the more militant representatives. Moreover, the Hummish struggle for independence from the Ardenian Empire has been growing heavy for the last few decades, causing their people to often choose escaping to the New World as the means of doing so.
