Personal history

One of King Vadim Talat's biological sons, the twin brother of Ethem Talat. Emrah was a sweet child who grew up into a caring, gentle man. He was close to his father when he was very little, but was the first to grow disillusioned by Vadim as the man grew crueler and more ruthless as the boys aged. He was particularly close to Evren - all three Princes were tightly bonded when they were little, but the bonds between Ethem and Emrah broke under the strain their father applied, and the bonds between Emrah and Evren did not.
Emrah had little interest in the war that Ostar was fighting, indeed little interest in fighting at all, and he was ostracized from his twin and his father quickly when he expressed the opinion that perhaps they should be seeking a way to make peace with the Folk people rather than fighting them. That was in fact the only thing on which he and Evren disagreed - Evren, who was a military man, found it easier to hold the enemy fighters responsibly for the fighting and death he saw. Though, it's entirely possible that if Emrah had lived, he might have talked his heart-brother around to his way of thinking.
The gentle Prince was loose in his affections, known for dalliances with both men and women of every social status, but thankfully took his advice from Evren and did not marry, for fear of making targets out of anyone they bonded themselves formally to as tensions rose higher and higher with their father and Ethem. Only Evren and the respective mothers knew which of the many children underfoot in the places where he stashed his and his brother's children for safekeeping were his and which were Emrah's, and even after Ethem was executed few of the children were officially claimed as Royal blood, and none officially as Emrah's, though before he died, Evren claimed that Doshi Talat was the child of Emrah and not his own.
Emrah was murdered by his twin when they were only 44 years old.
