Dratharca
Dratharca reached its peak as a hegemonic empire 200 years ago under Audar the Great, who conquered Wealding National Territory, The Canton Mountains, Yiss, and parts of Tarpagamo and Cedonia. Like Rome, it started a republic, became an empire under the charismatic Audar, who was followed by three good emperors and then five increasingly bad ones. Eventually, the combined pressure of separatist movements, Cedonian encroachment, and internal fractionalization led to a revolution. They are a republic again, have (mostly) cast off their imperial territories, and are focused on modernizing the country. Although there is a nationalistic fervor post-revolution, the long imperial history has left the citizenry relatively cosmopolitan.
