General Summary
• The party managed to convince Porto to lead them to the tunnel which he, Felix Febdlesticks, and the rest of the town used to enter the Underdark 10 years ago.
• On the way, the party passed by a large cavern appearing to slope down to a lower cavern. Linric "Rabbitfoot" Thorlmund felt a psionic connection coming from the direction of the lower cavern.
• The party continued walking down a very long tunnel for several hours - including a portion where the walls were covered in glowing crystals, which upon striking them would cause a bright flash, but the detached crystals would continue glowing - until reaching a fork just before the tunnel Porto was leading them to.
• In the fork the party found the mutilated body of a human, which after some investigation Emdrum recognized as a member of his monastery.
• Going down the escape tunnel, they ran into three bear-like humanoids who appeared to be trying to clear a cave-in which was blocking the tunnel to the outside.
• The party fought and killed these bears, found a large nearby cave filled with elvish ruins which were crawling with them, and decided to camp for the night in the "escape" tunnel. During the night, Linric alerted the party to the presence of a large group of these bears approaching the camp, which Brogran scared away.
• In the morning, the party returned to the elven ruins and were taken to the court of their King Derendil. Along the way, you passed by a large cage containing various monks, adventuring parties, and some Jarlsgard, who cried out for help upon seeing you. King Derendil asked the party various questions, including asking about information regarding the surface world and where the underground dwarf encampment was. The King also suggested that he was actually an elvish prince transformed into this bear form, that he would be willing to help the party find a way out if they helped him, and that he would release some of the prisoners if the party proved useful.
• The party then decided that they would try to use Grumir's powers of crafting to make King Derendil a new crown to get on his good side, hopefully getting him to release some prisoners in the process.
