Session XIX: Broken Hearts & Wood-Witches

General Summary

The misery business was told to seek Adam the cook and deep state spy for intel, including a potential cure for Darens increasing fear of turning into a houseplant. After a semi-enjoyable bathing session in the river near the Kindred Domain, our wonderful party found themselves, surprise surprise, in the Kindred Domain. Giant cute coconut dogs escorted them to the "bastion of eternal sunset" Livia, a gigantic city located inside a protective bubble in the middle of the domain. The journey there was unnerving as it seemed to some that they were observed by something or someone...
They made their way to the fairly drinkable poisons tavern through the bustling city. In the dense crowd dear Gwathrentur got pickpocketed and lost one of his three money bags, oh my isn't he clumsy? In the tavern, Yelmar and Sempi quickly made friends at the bar with Onyx a gnomebinary rogue and Olga a granny respectively. All the while Gwathrentur and Daren befriended a local bookworm named Moira, employing her as a guide for inside and outside the bastion. It also became quickly clear that Onyx, the incredibly cool and mysterious figure with a badass and tragic backstory was the one to steal off Gwathrentur.
The next day it was time for misery business as they headed out to seek Mama Ana who Adam said might be able to help with Darens problem/s. On their way to her, the group found Onyx interrogating an enchanted talking frog at a pond. Upon further questioning by an arrow fired at Mach 2 from Gwathrenturs bow, it seems Onyx didn't prepare an adequate enough answer for their crime. Not losing their head in the process, but pretty much most of the general chest area. The frogs advised them how to proceed to Anastasyas' house. On the way, Gwathrentur spotted something odd.
After leaving Onyx' rotting corpse to nature, our heroes found the house they were searching for with Olga tending to the garden. She introduced them to her wife Ana after she wrapped up business with a weird-looking person in a mask. And with some tea, magic and stitchwork from Sempiternal, Daren seemed as good as new. Though everything seems to taste lickerish to him at the moment...
Who was the weird person in the mask, what the fuck is happening with the old cult that Sempiternal knows and does anybody know the frog could talk and does any of that even matter? We'll find out!
