Volscani Cataphracts
The Volscani Cataphracts were an Imperial Guard Regiment, considered to be some of the most hardened fighters of the Cadian Sector. They remained loyal to the Imperium until the 13th Black Crusade of Abaddon the Despoiler, when during a welcoming ceremony to Cadia they revealed their true allegiance to Chaos and massacred the Cadian Interior Guard's General Staff at the Battle for Tyrok Fields. Sending the shocked Cadian defenders reeling and rampaging across the fields of Tyrok, the Volscani hordes were only stopped by a swift counteroffensive led by Lord Castellan Ursarkar E. Creed. Slowly overwhelmed by the attack, the suicidal Volscani fought to the death.
