Ibujěbu
Culture
Culture and cultural heritage
Ibujěbu, also known as cave goblins, are goblins descended from the goblins who hid themselves in caves during the time of the New Abrizan Empire. Various types of fungi are staple foods among Ibujěbu, because the only crops that could be grown in the caves were fungi.
Average technological level
Most traditional Ibujěbu technology is quite archaic, because of their ancestors' limited resources.
Common Etiquette rules
Ibujěbu don't traditionally use eating utensils because of the simplicity of their traditional food, but they are gaining popularity alongside foreign foods.
Common Dress code
Traditional Ibujěbu clothes are typically made of leather, but many have begun to adopt more modern textile clothes.
Art & Architecture
Traditional Ibujěbu architecture consists of corridors and caverns underground, usually dug as an extension to a preexisting cave. In cities outside of caves, the Ibujěbu typically prefer small buildings made of stone.
The most common forms of Ibujěbu art are reliefs and sculptures.
Birth & Baptismal Rites
Ibujěbu are paired with an Aemet upon birth, who they typically stayed with for their entire lives. In the past newborns from separate Aemet and Ibujěbu families were paired at birth, but today, most Aemet are part of Ibujěbu families. Because goblinshave a measure of control over their reproduction, Ibujěbu tend to have the same number of children as their Aemet companions.
Funerary and Memorial customs
Ibujěbu funerals are typically burials.
