Session 5 - The Inspector

General Summary

After the conversation between Winnow Olafson and Rayla Moonshadow, did not end well, Rayla returned to Hollow, partially to seek further aid, and partially to check in on how Avex Steelhoof was dealing with Yira Inkstep. She was informed by Maeve Glitterwing that he had left they morning to go to the thicket to deal with her. Stumpy arrived soon after with a letter for her from Kara Towers, a Civilian Policing Division constable inspector, begging for her help.

Kara Towers arrived at Winnow's home to ask her a few questions about the train crash. She explained that she believes that someone in the city is perpetrating an act of terrorism against the city by brining in dangerous wildlife from outside the city. She suspects Gearforged dissidents from the community of Axiom. However to proceed in her investigation, she needs to present further evidence to her superior, Constable Commander Ogma Horne. Winnow agreed to issue a statement in person and left with Kara.

Meanwhile, Feyre Blackwood and Dac Earreac watched on as members of the Brass Spears of Novus arrested Nance. Dac approached his friend Qirrif Torekki, and Aarakocra recruit in the Brass Spears and asked what was going on. There was little that Qirrif could say, but he urged Dac that they could meet later at their secret place -- the Roost.

While they spoke, Feyre spotted Gunn not far off also watching the scene. Feyre and Dac chased after him as Gunn ran off. As they caught him, Gunn was as perplexed about the situation. In fear that this was in response to the incident on the train, Gunn recommend that they lie low for a bit some place that they would not be noticed. After evading the guards in the area, they sought refuge in a secret cellar underneath Nail and Nan’s Pie Place. After taking some flack from Nan Neddle, Gunn led the others to hide within.

In Hollow, Rayla expressed worry about Avex and indecision about what to do next. Siluna Cloverloam saw her and took advantage of the moment to console her after the loss of Doxa. She assured Rayla of her importance to the community and advised she continue to help her friends. As Siluna spoke comforting words about her faith in the Wellspring, Rayla also mentioned her concerns about Yira. Siluna urged that Avex was strong and could handle himself. Though perhaps not completely assured, Rayla decided to meet with Kara.

Rayla was shocked to see Winnow with Kara, and after a tense reunion, and an explanation from Kara, Rayla decided to join them and to go to Hewnholm Tower.

After some time had passed, Gunn, Feyre, and Dac decided to make for Feyre's apartment on the edge of the Dust District.

Feyre had a similar letter waiting for her from Kara Towers in the mail slot of her apartment. Gunn advised caution, suspecting that it could be some sort of trap. Still the three agree that there could be an opportunity to help Nance -- though they were uncertain how.
