Session 7: Slaad Hunting Report

General Summary

The now joined group of the party and The Bar Burners set up camp off of the road. A lack of trust leads each group to elect to have one of their own on each watch. Drostre Bassast and Tasrielle Daldareln have a bit of a heated discussion over keeping up appearances and popularity on their final watch.   In the morning, much to their annoyance, Turbulence joins Sprig Silvertoung on their morning drills. The group then head off one their day.   During the journey, Alecto Ocreata is once again pick pocketed but Sprig Silvertoung notices the thief get overconfident and try for their own cash. As the thief attempts to flee, Ashley Benatar shot them through the leg causing them to fall from the treeline. Bharash Marux then rushed in to restrain them.   Sprig Silvertoung tended to the thief, Thryan Rosserk's, wounds while Alecto Ocreata took back her gold. The group debated on what to do with him, eventually deciding to take him with them. It seems that Drostre Bassast has the intention of bringing him into his order if the man survives the slaad mission to give him some skills to get by with.   In the evening, on Drostre Bassast and Turbulence's watch, someone, yet again, tried to rob Alecto Ocreata. Drostre Bassast stopped them with a fresh hand wound and let them go with just a warning. During this scuffle Sprig Silvertoung suspected Thryan Rosserk and was surprised to find him still asleep when she kicked him.   On the second watch, Alecto Ocreata and Orla Fren discussed adventuring.   On the third watch Tasrielle Daldareln tried to convince Bharash Marux to send a message to his family directly even though he's scared of it. They shared their start to adventuring with each other.   Ashley Benatar made some progress, on her watch, at befriending the bird despite it still being a bad hunter.   In the morning, Turbulence, Sprig Silvertoung and Ashley Benatar discuss wood and that it has different types, which is news to Turbulence. Sprig Silvertoung learnt that the spear was bought from the man she expected it to be.   The group arrived at the hamlet they were told the sightings were near however they were too late. They found the hamlet burned and smouldering, filled with corpses. The groups searched for survivors, Thryan Rosserk finding a mother and child hiding in a smouldering building. The party discovered the mother had scratched and Drostre Bassast dispatched her away from the child.   Upon closer inspection, they found the child was also scratched and Alecto Ocreata finished him off. Sprig Silvertoung and Alecto Ocreata gave them a makeshift funeral before everyone set off searching for tracks. Ashley Benatar caught a trail for the group to follow.
