It's a goblin, what use is it to us? And it's a small runt at that.— Elarnya
Droop is a goblin expert who was once a member of the Cragmaw Tribe and is now an ally of the Hat Gang.
The adventuring party first encountered Droop in the Cragmaw Hideout, where they allowed the goblin, at the time a pathetic creature, to travel with them, despite Elarnya's protests. Since then, Droop has become a competent thief and has proven useful in combat, picking up skills from Dymera.
Appearance
Physical Description
Droop is short, even for a goblin, in fact, he is closer in height to an average halfling and his bulbous head gives him a youthful appearance. His skin is dark green, an unusual colour fo a cave goblin like himself, with faded, brown-purple markings across his skin, especially on the inside of his large, drooping ears, and his dog-like nose. Like other members of the Cragmaw Tribe, his teeth are sharpened to give them an intimidating look, however, this attempt isn't a complete success, as Droop is anything but intimidating.
Mentality
Personal history
Droop was stationed at the Redbrand Hideout under the orders of Klarg during the Hat Gang's attack, although he never saw the assailants and is thus unaware of the party's involvement. After the attack, he was told to leave the hideout by a woman who claimed to have gained ownership of the manor.
Not knowing where else to go, Droop returned to the Cragmaw Hideout, only to find everyone there had been killed, except for a "tall goblin", once again, Droop remained ignorant to the Hat Gang's involvement. Before long, the other goblin left without Droop, designating the smaller goblin as annoying and weak. Before long, the Hat Gang returned to the hideout looking for clues relating to the Black Spider, only to find Droop cowering behind a stalagmite, begging the adventurers not to kill him. Despite objections from some of the less goblin-loving party members, the group deemed Droop was more useful to them alive, as he may be able to help him locate the "tall goblin" he talked about, who is likely to know the location of Cragmaw Castle.
