"What's the difference between look and see?"

Samael Beaufort, born in Belmore of Scalmoore and raised by his two parents, he grew up aspiring to join the Order of the Knights of Temperance. When Samael turned his family help him when they could and pushed him in the right directions. When Samael was 16, a few high ranking priests came to Belmore in search for new recruits in the Order. One took in particular interest in Sam's skills in physical combat and his keen sense for battle strategy. This man decided to sponsor Sam propelling him into the schooling of becoming a knight.
 
Once he became of age to leave his home, he had a falling out with a childhood friend, Veronica Vetra who began her trek for Balidan. Samael leaving for Leadenfort in order to continue his studies as a knight before serving under the Church of the Prevailing Man for some time in Grimsgate. After this, Samael was forced to flee the church after he found himself in the middle of an Otherworldly anomaly.
 
During this incident he was left partially blinded and plagued with mental trauma. In the chaos of what transpired Samael, in fear of his new found issues and the churches stance on things as such, he left in a hurry. Abandoning the church and his duties as a knight, and beginning his voyage to Balidan.
