Korash, the Ettin of Korn's Arena in Forcalish

Luce, Eragon, Lord Rohrouk, and Avrious versus Korash, an ettin.

Eragon finishes it off, OOC asks Luce for help

Luce throws his head back to roar, "That is how we carve our fate!"

For winning, we received 1.2k gp (300gp to each of us who fought)

Cassandra was off to do her own things, so the rest of the party met up with her much later at The Sow -- Cassandra wanted to meet up once more with Quartermaster Igara to confirm our suspicions.

Cass has a new ring, and upon wearing it it seems it is still connected to its owner. Haunted, maybe? The ghost was some kind of sorcerer who was "dark and evil" (his words, not Cassandra's).

Cassandra can't fucking lie to Luce (he nat 20'd an Insight check). Something's bothering Cass, enough for her to put the fight out of her mind and avoid the Stormlord's arena.

Igara is highly suspicious of her captain, and hints that his unlocked (padlock hanging open at the door) cabin has a messy writing desk. I, always a good seaman, manned the door watching for suspicious types while me crew dealt with the interior. On the desk, we found a letter or note (written in Aquan) containing instructions for goods to be loaded & unloaded, with locations: a warehouse on the docks and a cove on the island of Mikellonia (neighboring Teregos).

The children of Loscupulus are in league with the Karaketai, Lord Rohrouk muses. They're redirecting food meant for Teir Shanigray instead to Mikellonia. (Again, without our previous knowledge this all seems like just routine shipments that have nothing to do with the elves or the Karaketai).

From our spot on the top deck, an ear-piercing screech -- probably from the beast held belowdecks -- from the bottom of the three decks ripped through the air on board. I hastened everyone out of the cabin, with Cassandra grabbing a shark-maw-marked parchment that seems to match the description we have of Kofsa.

Members of the crew began running belowdecks to deal with the beast, and after some "encouragement" we headed down to help as well.

It's a remorhaz.

The Remorhaz

Because the remorhaz has been melting the chains that bind it, I went after it in hand-to-hand combat. Both Avrios and I managed to strike it with critical blows and finally beat it into submission. Notably, Rohrouk did little to help. Igara let us know that this here is a baby remorhaz.

"Oh, what a night it's been."

Citizens of Teregos

The next morning, Harren, who used the power vested in him by the council of Teregos, made (the rest of) the party citizens of Teregos.

As citizens, we have been granted both a ship (The Shortreef) and payment to enter the Odyssey.

We continued then to the temple of the Changebringer, to register our new group for the Odyssey. The head of the temple, though an asshole, registered us successfully for the Odyssey and instructed us to return the next evening.

The Grand Odyssey (Opening)

One by one, each team arrives just as the sun sets:

The Champions of the Sister Isles: the half-elf greeted us with a wave (seems friendly).

The Northern Hunters, who keep to themselves.

The crew of the Harpy's Keening: one of which carries a strange metal device, a rifle.

The Steel Co. (Logurist Vak Koor): five armored dwarves, who begin partying in true dwarvish fashion.

The Rust-Scale Clan: carrying in a war banner and chanting in draconic (about how great they are).

The Children of Loscipulus, with a new arrival -- a handsome woman with the symbol of the shark-maw tattooed on her shoulder.

and...

The Karaketai: five (Spartan-looking) men, who stand in the corner at attention (otherwise not participating).

The Odyssey has been called.

Our goal is to seek a silver-gilded warhorn, the horn of Deltavros. It was lost, as his last voyage was forgotten. The religious of Forcalish have seen its resting place ("its prison"), and will declare champion to those who bring the horn back to Forcalish.
