Modar's Journal: One step foward, right off a cliff
Oh the agony - got to work this morning looking to see Raputin and make sure he remembers my assistance (he was a little drunk) and what to I see - he has been demoted to knight!
Not just any knight, oh no, somehow he managed to become the "knight of shame". Now I need to distance myself from him. I did get a little extra gold, but if I had known he was going to humiliate himself I would have charged him triple. Hopefully he doesn't get out too much, maybe no one wants to listen to him anyway, and I can find another set of coat tails to ride.
Getting a black envelop didn't even drag me all the way out of my funk, though obviously it is a good sign.
I am assigned to work with Kade again, we are investigating some poor Goblin sap - Sebastian. I have a good feeling about this one, if it goes well I could be looking at a new path forward.
